Daily School Life of Children

    Middle Colonies schools are very religious but teach the teachings of multiple religions. If you are a Catholic, you can learn about the Catholic religion. Most schools are private. But, students also learned other subjects so they could get into college with a wider span of knowledge. Girls aren't allowed to attend, unless they are Quakers.
  • Schools are generally small. Kids learn to read from special books called hornbooks.
  • Kids are taught a trade, usually the one their fathers did, so they could continue the family business when their fathers retired.
